This program is a unique, project-based, international leadership experience. Students will combine coursework conducted at ISU and on-site work with professional teams in Rome to explore real-world projects focused on global food and agriculture issues. Students will work with professionals at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
This integrated production and policy program will allow students to gain valuable knowledge, skills, and abilities with respect to global agricultural production, resources, and food issues.
This coursework for this program is equivalent to 5 credits. Students will be enrolled in 2 credits of GLOBE 4950 for the spring 2026 semester, and 3 credits of GLOBE 4970 for the summer 2026 term.
- GLOBE 495 spring 2026 course will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:10-5:00 pm. All students must pass this course to participate in the GLOBE 497 course for the summer.
