My biggest piece of advice to students interested in studying abroad is to go for it! If you are on the fence about studying abroad JUST DO IT!
Why did you decide to study abroad?
I decided to study abroad after I had multiple friends take advantage of the experience. They had some of the best times of their lives and made many memorable memories. After hearing all about their experience and seeing their photos, I was immediately hooked. I also thought to myself there is no better time to take advantage of this experience than right now while I am in college.
What was your favorite study abroad experience?
My favorite part of my study abroad experience was being exposed to all the new cultures firsthand. I learned so many different things about how many people around the world live their lives and what their day to day looks like. I also enjoyed trying all the food I was able to enjoy. I had some of the best food while I was studying abroad and ate some things that I never knew existed.
Have you traveled internationally before studying abroad?
I have traveled internationally before my study abroad, but I had never traveled that far from the United States prior to going abroad. Prior to going abroad, I had been to Canada, Mexico, and they Bahamas.
What advice would you give students interested in studying abroad?
My biggest piece of advice to students interested in studying abroad is to go for it! If you are on the fence about studying abroad JUST DO IT! I also recommend reaching out to others and talking to others about their experience, I promise you it will be all positive things. It will help you grow as a person, and you will learn and take back so much knowledge by the time your experience is over.
