I love watching students experience the world and apply what they have learned in the classroom.

Why do you choose to lead study abroad programs? I love watching students experience the world and apply what they have learned in the classroom. It is so exciting to see them reflect upon the experience once we return home and recognize the professional and personal growth they have had from studying abroad.

What is unique about your study abroad destinations? Why do you want to take students to this country? Italy has such a deep history when we think about food and food trends. The Mediterranean Diet is such a well researched diet that it is an excellent opportunity for our students studying in culinary food science and nutrition to visit and experience firsthand.

Give an example of your favorite city, tour, tradition, or activity included within your program itinerary. We travel to Tuscania, a small village, where we experience a 0-kilometer meal and tour an olive oil processor. We also visit Florence where we will train with the Gastronomy chefs from the University of Lorenzo de' Medici and students learn to cook authentic classic Italian dishes.

Why should students study abroad? Students gain a new understanding of the world we live in when they are immersed in another country and its culture.
